Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.  Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.  Ephesians 4:31-32
Do unto others as you would have them do to you.    Luke 6:31
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.  Mark 12:30
God has said,"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."  So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid."  Hebrews 13:5-6
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.   Romans 8:28
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not die but have eternal life.   John 3:16
A great church does not just happen automatically.  It is a result of Christ having the preeminent place in each of our hearts and lives. Calvary Baptist Church is a great church and has a great heritage.  We can be grateful for all God has done for us.  We cannot only be grateful for the past and present, but we can look to the future with great anticipation and hope as we dedicate ourselves anew to the will and purpose of God.  The future is just as bright as the promises of God.

We are a group of believers who have bonded ourselves together to carry out the great commission of our Lord.  Relationships are very important in every area of life.  Our relationship to the Lord and to each other is very crucial.  It is my prayer that will get to know one another better, and will love each other more.

Betty and I are very grateful for the opportunity to serve along side you in the service of our Lord.  Your love and support mean so much.  May God's blessings be upon us as we look to the days ahead.

Your Pastor and Friend
